Minor
The Classics Department offers the opportunity to minor in one of four classical areas of study.

Classical Studies
Classical Studies
- Minimum 20 units of coursework taken for a letter grade, with no grade lower than a "C"
- CLASSICS 150: Majors Seminar
- Five additional CLASSICS courses of your choice
Ancient History
Ancient History
- Minimum 20 units of coursework taken for a letter grade, with no grade lower than a "C"
- CLASSICS 150: Majors Seminar
- Five aditional CLASSICS courses in history, art history or archaeology. May also count Latin or Ancient Greek courses which focus on historical topics or authors.
Classical Languages
Classical Languages
- Minimum 20 units of coursework taken for a letter grade, with no grade lower than a "C"
- CLASSICS 150: Majors Seminar
- Five additional CLASSICS courses in Latin or Ancient Greek. If counting both languages, one must be at the intermediate-level or above.
Philosophy & Literature
Philosophy & Literature
- Minimum 20 units of coursework taken for a letter grade, with no grade lower than a "C"
- CLASSICS 150: Majors Seminar
- Five additional CLASSICS courses in classical literature or philosophy, including classical science. May also count Latin or Ancient Greek courses which focus on philosophical/literary topics or authors.
