Anne Kolb (Zurich): Epigraphy as a Source for Ancient Technology

Anne Kolb is professor of Ancient History at the University of Zurich.  Her main interests and research include political structures in the ancient world, social, economical and cultural history of the Roman Empire, and Greek and Latin Epigraphy.  Since 2000, Kolb has been managing an ongoing research project which focuses on structures of power and domination in the ancient practice of states, and the social and cultural history of the Roman Empire, as well as epigraphic and papyrological problems.  She is the editor of the Corpus Insciptionum Latinarum for volume XVII.
