PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ONLY OPEN TO GRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE CLASSICS DEPARTMENT

Career Opportunities Panel with Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI) Fellows hosted by the Classics Department and DCI.

The DCI Fellows will share their career experiences beyond academic settings and the different pivots they have made in their career journeys. The panelists will then answer general questions from the moderator, Prof. Saller and attendees.

Joining us on the panel are:

Debbie Byron

Debbie chairs the Board Match Services for Stanford Women on Boards, founded and chairs the DCI Alumni Network, and serves on the Advisory Council for the Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Debbie also serves as an emeritus trustee of Harvey Mudd College, a premier engineering, science and technology institution. She is former chair for the Career Action Center in Silicon Valley and served as a publicly elected board member and president of the top-ranked Cupertino Union School District. Debbie graduated from Stanford University and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Frish Brandt

Frish serves as Board President of SF Art & Film for Teens, an organization dedicated to providing cultural programs for Bay Area teens. She sits on the Director’s Circle Committee of SFMOMA and the Arts Committee of The Exploratorium; she also serves as a Board Member of Sages & Seekers. She is a graduate of California College of Arts and Crafts.

Amy Ellis

Amy Ellis is a disruptive innovator who has developed novel ideas into successful products spanning 21+ consumer, business and healthcare categories. As President and Co-Founder of MedAvante, Inc. she spearheaded the development of MedAvante’s ground-breaking methodological and technological innovations to change the way human drug trials are conducted, enabled by the development of real time electronic source data capture, the Virgil Platform.

Ms. Ellis has a MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BA in Art History from the University of Rochester.
