CTL Workshop: "Strategies for Teaching in an Online Environment"

This workshop will focus on frameworks and strategies for engaging students in online learning. Beginning with some fundamentals on integrating technology and education, we will proceed to look at specific tools and teaching techniques that are proving effective in addressing major issues facing our students. We will also facilitate a discussion on concerns and emerging practices.

Kenji Ikemoto, MA in EducationAcademic Technology Specialist, Stanford Center for Teaching and Learning

Kenji's expertise is in education, instructional design, and academic technologies. He supports the integration of technology-enhanced pedagogic strategies into instruction, research, and learning. In his free time he enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy fiction and cheering on his favorite Bay Area sports teams.

Kenneth Ligda, PhD in EnglishKenny has worked in curriculum design, academic technology, and public online courses at Stanford; his current focus is on pedagogy, with emphasis on the humanities. He enjoys running, audio books, and has been very slowly getting better at baking bread.

This workshop is open to faculty and graduate students in the Classics Department.
