Dan-el Padilla Peralta (Princeton University): Racing the Classics

What will it require of classicists to make meaningful progress towards promoting a more inclusive discipline, and what are the risks of failing to do so? This talk will outline a three-part agenda for research, recruitment, and retention.

Dan-el Padilla Peralta is Assistant Professor of Classics, Associated Faculty in the Program in Latino Studies, and Faculty Fellow in Service and Civic Engagement at Princeton University. He researches and writes on Roman religious and social history, classical reception in the US and Latin America, and migratory politics.
