Why Classics?

This event will be an informal lunch conversation, designed as a follow-up to Dan-el Padilla Peralta's recent lecture "Racing the Classics" and as a direct link to the department's Classical pedagogy seminar. Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates will share their thoughts on why they have chosen to study Classics, why Classics is relevant in the 21st century, and how the work that they do may be socially and culturally relevant.

Lunch will be served at 12:15, and the conversation will commence at 12:30.
