Prof. Josh Ober receives multiple honors

Recently, Prof. Josh Ober received an honorary doctorate in Economics from the University of Thessaly.

Prof. Ober is also back from serving a term as Leventis Visiting Professor at the University of Edinburgh, where he organised an international conference on "Ancient Greek history and contemporary social science."  While in the United Kingdom, he also gave the J.R. In March 2016, Josh Ober will be the Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor for a week at McMaster University (Ontario, Canada).  There he will give several lectures.  The Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor title is reserved for short term visits for distinguished scholars and guest lectureres who will simulate educational or research programs.  These individuals are expected to address a broad audience of students at all levels.  Learn more about the Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor program at McMaster University.
