Professor David Cohen awarded Roland Volunteer Service Prize

Congratulations to Professor David Cohen, who received the 2021 Miriam Aaron Roland Volunteer Service Prize today for involving students in integrating academic scholarship with service to society. In addition to being a valued member of the Stanford Classics Department, Professor Cohen is the WSD Handa Professor in Human Rights and International Justice and directs the Stanford Center for Human Rights and International Justice (formerly the Handa Center).Professor Cohen is a leading expert on human rights, international law and transitional justice, as well as one of the world’s leading social and legal historians of Ancient Greece.
