Bianca Carpeneti

Bianca Carpeneti

Bianca graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in Ancient History and Archaeology. She is now on a Gates Fellowship at Cambridge University (Clare Hall), pursuing her M.Phil in Archaeology.  Bianca has a particular interest in heritage and museums, especially with regards to the way in which people design and use public spaces to create and engage in their community.  For the past couple summers, she has worked on an excavation in the north of England, at the Roman fort of Binchester.  There, she has looked into the cultural heritage landscape of the region, and how Binchester fits into this.  When she has time, Bianca enjoys volunteering with outreach programs in museum and archaeology education. In 2013, she co-edited Heritage Studies: Stories in the Making, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
