B.A. in Classical Languages, Bryn Mawr College, 2023

Claire is a first year PhD student on the Language and Literature track. She received her B.A. in Classical Languages in 2023 from Bryn Mawr College. Her undergraduate thesis, “‘Hear me, O multi-formed one:’ Reading divine embodiment and fluidity in the Orphic Hymns,” explored the fluid form, movement, and poetics of divine bodies. Her research focuses on Greek religion and poetry, especially hymns and lyric, and she is particularly interested in embodiment, ritual, and aesthetics. Her work is primarily philological, but draws on methodologies from gender and queer theory and religious studies.
