Kathryn taught for Stanford Online High School, for which she designed an online Latin program for gifted middle and high school students. She is currently head of the ancient and modern languages division of Stanford Online High School. Her dissertation Performances of Justice in Imperial Latin Literature (advised by Alessandro Barchiesi, Susanna Braund, and Christian Kaesser) explores the trial scene topos in authors such as Ovid, Seneca, and Juvenal with a focus on representations of the emperor as judge.
