Marden Nichols joined Georgetown as Assistant Professor of Classics in fall 2014. Her research focuses on the literature, art, and archaeology of ancient Rome. She has published articles on Roman domestic decor and the moral discourse of luxury, the authorial personae of Horace and Vitruvius, the satirist Persius, and the reception history of plaster cast replicas of classical art. Her first book, on Vitruvius’ De architectura, is forthcoming from Cambridge University Press.
