Mark Cameron Alonge is Classics Instructor at Boston University Academy. His research interests include Greek poetry and religion with focuses on orality and textuality in Greek hymns, and literacy in the ancient world.  Mark's Stanford dissertation, "The Hymn to Zeus from Palaikastro: Religion and Tradition in Post-minoan Crete," was advised by Richard P. Martin, Ian Morris, and Christopher A. Faraone.  Mark has taught both Latin and Greek at the university-level, and for the past six years, Mark has been an Assistant Professor of Classical Studies at Boston University, where he taught ancient Greek and courses in classical civilization, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
