Nicholas received his BA in Classical Archaeology with Highest Honors from the University of Michigan in 2016 and an MA from the same institution in Classical Art and Archaeology in 2022. Throughout his undergraduate and graduate studies, Nicholas has worked with charred macrobotanical remains and his interests include: foodways and ethnic identity, diachronic changes in agricultural practices, and archaeological theory.
Additionally, Nicholas has three years of experience as a secondary educator in North Philadelphia, which cultivated an interest in pedagogy and public outreach.
He has primarily excavated with the Gabii Project in Central Italy, where he has served as the Environmental Lab supervisor.
