Thelma Beth Minney

BA in Classics, The University of Chicago, 2017
Beth received her BA in Classics with a minor in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from The University of Chicago in 2017. Her undergraduate thesis looked at the usage of Nilometers in Egyptian temples found outside of Egypt, exploring the cultural implications of these water fixtures’ cultic contexts. At Stanford, she is specializing in Classical Archeology focusing on the material culture of ancient religions in the Mediterranean alongside interests in cross-cultural transmission, spatial analysis, and the intersection of cultural heritage with public engagement.
