Tom Recht is a recent Berkeley Ph.D. in Linguistics, interested in the Indo-European language family and in the history of the classical languages specifically. He received his B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Jerusalem in 1999, and has dual M.A. degrees in Classics and Linguistics from Berkeley. Among his main interests are prose style, the ancient novel, etymology, and grammatical change.
