Ulysse Carrière-Bouchard

Ulysse Carrière-Bouchard

Ulysse's research is concerned with Archaic Lyric and more precisely, with Pindar. They study an epistemological break in 5th century Greece, in which a regime of truth rooted in performance gives way to one that is based on discursive practices. Their approach mobilizes Foucault, Deleuze, Agamben, Gramsci, and Marx.

Their interests include the development of metaphysics in Ancient Greece, the intersection of historical materialism and genealogy, and immanence in Renaissance painting.
