Vince graduated in 2010 and since then, has held a postdoctorate position at Ripon College, where he is the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Post-doctoral Fellow in Classics.  Vince's dissertation, Studies in the Poetics of Quintus of Smyrna, was advised by Richard Martin, Grant Parker and Susan Stephens. He won a Geballe Dissertation Prize Fellowship at the Stanford Humanities Center for 2009-10. His research interests include Homeric studies, mythology and folklore, epic, and theogonic and heroic poetry.  He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics Department of Romance and Classical Languages at Ripon College in Wisconsin.
