Graduate Programs
Graduate students at Stanford Classics benefit from the widest array of opportunities. They work with excellent faculty representing various fields and interests, enjoy access to a well-assorted library as well as other resources on campus (such as the Rumsey Map Center), and receive additional support to pursue their education and projects in the Mediterranean region over the summer.
The department offers all admitted students a comprehensive funding package covering tuition, stipend, research support, and teaching. Our goal is to support students as fully as possible in their development as both scholars and teachers. Generous summer and conference travel funds are also available. The program has an excellent placement record.
