Andrej Petrovic (Durham) "Divine Bondage and Greek Ritual"

The paper explores ancient Greek rituals which include impeding or otherwise restraining imagined movement of divine statues and raises questions about socio-religious agency of objects in Greek ritual and religious thought.
Andrej Petrovic is a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Classics and Ancient History, Durham University (UK). His research and publications deal with Greek religion and epigraphy.
