Micheal Duchesne

I received my BA in history from the University of California Riverside in 2016 and my MA in history from California State University, Los Angeles, in 2018. I am primarily interested in comparative studies of slave systems in the ancient Mediterranean. In particular, I am interested in exploring comparisons to understand better how these systems were managed and the various roles of slaves throughout history. My interests also extend to forming ethnic identities, expressions of love, gender relations, military and political propaganda, and degrees of autonomy.
